Shower Body Jets

Most modern homeowners require a shower system that provides them not only with traditional water sprays for bathing but something extra for an invigorating shower experience. Shower body jets are complete bathing systems that consist of several fixed and movable showerheads, a horizontal middle panel, and several body jets. When combined, these features provide a total bathing and massaging experience.

Showerheads

Complete shower body jet systems consist of at least two showerheads – one is fixed above the main shower panel, while the other is suspended from a bath cradle or a shower mount. With these two showerhead types, the user can opt to detach the removable showerhead and focus the water on the desired area of the body. This feature is especially useful for shampooing or washing playful children.

Some shower body jet systems are equipped with massaging showerheads with different massage water spray patterns. They provide the user with a feeling of being pampered by a personal masseuse in a massage spa. Massaging showerheads often have adjustable water spray patterns to get a forceful or a gentle massage experience.

Main panels

The heart of shower body jet systems is the main shower panel. Usually found at the center of a bathroom enclosure, the main panels contain all the main shower controls for manipulating the water temperature, water pressure, spray patterns, and water flow.

Shower body jet main panels are available in different colors and finishes to match any modern or traditional bathroom. The most common main panels are white, but they can also come with fancy chrome, gold, silver, brass, or nickel finishes.

Body jets

Strategically installed in multiple points along the bathroom wall or on the main shower panel, body jets deliver water sprays reaching all areas of the body. Unlike fixed showerheads that spray water from above, body jets spurt water vertically from all sides of the bathroom.

Body jets provide the user with a more efficient way of bathing and rinsing. The user no longer has to rely solely on the water coming from the fixed showerheads that focus water on top of the head. Some body jets even have adjustable nozzles for changing the angle of the water spray.

Shower body jet installation

Installing shower body jets can be tedious, oftentimes requiring professional assistance. A shower body jet system with a main panel often requires existing tiles to be removed to get the proper fit.

Here are a few simple tips to consider when buying a shower body jet system:

• Determine the body jet style desired. Decide if you want to have a main panel, separate showerheads, and other features like a thermostat valve and water control.
• Consider your budget. Decide on how much you are willing to pay for a shower body jet.
• Taking note of your bathrooms dimensions especially the bathroom wall where the shower body jet is to be installed.
