4 things to consider when looking for a bathroom toilet

When planning to remodel your bathroom , choosing the new toilet is a quite important part of making your efforts successful. The toilets aren’t created equal and you will have to find out more about their various features and aspects in order to decide which style is going to fit your bathroom design and your needs. The first consideration is the size of the toilet you need to install between the bathroom wall and the toilet bolt holes. You will have to measure this distance between the rear bolt holes and the bathroom wall and write it down in order to take it with you to the store. This measurement is to be used in order to compare the available toilets.

The second consideration is the necessary flushing capability of the toilet you want to install in your bathroom. For instance, the latest toilets use only 1.6 gallons of water and some of them are very likely to flush much better than others. There are two main flushing methods: the pressure assisted one and the gravity-fed one. The gravity-fed method use suction and the larger or narrower trap-ways. The pressure assisted flushing is sustained by a container installed right inside the tank in order to provide the necessary compressed air that improves the flushing. When flushed, this compressed air will help push everything down the drain.

The third consideration is all about going with a particular form of toilet bowl. You can go with an elongated or a round bowl. The elongated toilet bowl is 2 to 3 inches longer than a round one and its particular shape makes it much easier for adults to make good use of it. The round bowl is smaller and even less expensive when compared to an elongated bowl. Such toilet bowl is better for bathrooms that are used by children or have a smaller designated space. The fourth consideration is the style of the toilet. For instance, you can go for a 2-piece white toilet because this could be the least expensive choice. But you may also consider the one piece toilet due to its sleekness and easiness to clean. Even the wall mounted toilets might be considered even if they are more expensive and their installation is far more complicated than the traditional floor mounted toilets.

Toilets may come in a wide range of colors but keep in mind that colors are likely to be more expensive. Another element of the toilet style is its height, namely the distance from the seat to the floor. The standard height is 14 inches but you can provide your bathroom with a higher model if you find it more convenient for your use. Here is the recommended checklist for you to use when purchasing a toilet : make sure that the toilet you choose is conform to all the local standards, go only for a brand name toilet, decide well in advance if you are interested to buy a 2-piece or 1-piece toilet, if you want an assisted or a gravity flush toilet, an elongated or round toilet bowl, make sure that the toilet will fit your bathroom design and take all the necessary measurements in account when planning to buy a particular toilet because almost every toilet must be mounted to 13-14 inches away from the bathroom wall.
